About the Role
As the first Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap, customer communication, and delivery operations. This role offers outsized ownership and a direct line to the CTO and CEO, with the opportunity to shape the product function at Polimorphic.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap operationally
- Recruit and manage beta customers for launching projects
- Develop into a strategic partner to the team through deep, constant customer exposure
- Communicate roadmap, changes, and tradeoffs clearly to sales and customer success
- Partner closely with marketing and our product marketing manager on positioning, launches, and go-to-market for new features
- Host customer webinars and product launch webinars
- Identify and protect critical-path tickets and projects
- Make the hard calls: propose work for cancellation, advocate for the most pressing customer needs, and defend those decisions with reasoning
- Own and operate the product scoping queue
- Manage QA resources and ensure quality gates are real
Requirements
- 3-5 years in product management, ideally at a startup or other high-velocity, resource-constrained environment where you wore multiple hats
- Scrappy and resourceful, you figure things out, you don't wait for process to exist before you create it
- Sharp prioritizer, comfortable saying no, sequencing under ambiguity, and making defensible tradeoff calls without perfect information
- Strong communicator, equally credible with engineers, with sales and marketing, and on a live webinar in front of customers
- Hungry to learn fast, you'll be absorbing a new domain (local government), a technical stack, and a customer base simultaneously, and you're energized by that
- Customer-obsessed, you actively want to be in front of customers, and you bring what you hear back into the build process
- Technically grounded, you have a CS or engineering degree, or prior experience shipping software as an engineer

About the Company
- We're building the agentic AI layer for state and local government.
- As service demands climb and government resources stay flat, we work with over 200 governments across cities, counties, and states to change how residents get served: from instant Q&A to self-serve Voice AI that walks people through complex government processes end to end.
- The resident-facing side is only half of it. We're unifying the external and internal operations by building agentic assistants for government staff, the clerks, case workers, and administrators who keep cities and counties running.
- These agents route and triage requests, pull records, draft responses, move cases through approvals, and connect the legacy systems government runs on, so staff can focus on the high touch important work.
