About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at SMRT, you will play a key role in shaping electrical systems for complex projects across healthcare, science, education, justice, and workplace environments. You will contribute to projects from concept through construction, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver smart, resilient solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support electrical design efforts across a range of technically complex projects.
  • Design electrical systems from concept through completion, aligned with project goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to coordinate design and documentation.
  • Participate in project planning, including scope, schedule, and design hour estimates.
  • Contribute to client relationships and help identify new opportunities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share expertise across the team.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and visual.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software such as SKM, AGI32, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design for buildings and infrastructure.
