About the Role
Entertainment Technicians operate and maintain sound, video, special effects, and lighting equipment, providing support for park events. This role may involve working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or man-lifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational duties, including covering open positions and communicating schedule changes.
- Operate equipment as a stagehand, spotlight operator, light board operator, audio operator, special effects operator, and camera operator.
- Operate light boards, audio consoles, video cameras, and special effects equipment for shows and events.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance for scenic, sound, video, special effects, and lighting systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and departmental safety standards.
- Adhere to all park policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of technical theater, including theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, video, theatrical scenery, set decorating, and construction.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to interact effectively with various park personnel and external contractors.
- Capacity to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in operating technical equipment and troubleshooting technical problems.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and lighting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
