About the Role
As an LPN Medication Nurse at Sunrise Senior Living, you will provide licensed nursing support through safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation, playing a critical role in preventing medication errors, identifying health changes early, and protecting resident safety.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
- Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
- Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
- Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
