About the Role

Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking an Entry Level Assembly Laborer to join their New Berlin, WI team. This role operates assembly machines to produce various types of valves and involves occasional material handling and stocking.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assembly machines to produce various size and types of valves.
  • Use tools and fixtures for valve production.
  • Perform occasional material handling and stocking of components at the machine.
  • Operate hand or bench type power tools.
  • Operate air and hydro testers.
  • Learn set up and tear down for job changeovers with assistance.
  • Learn how to disassemble and repair product.
  • Perform minor material handling and stocking.
  • Use of hoist and other lifting equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in a prescribed manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, routers, test reports and bill of materials.
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires good manual dexterity.
  • Able to move hands and arms freely and reach for objects above eye level.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Work in a moderate to loud noise environment.
  • All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results.
  • Applicants are responsible for scheduling and completing the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance.
