About the Role

Stinson LLP is seeking an Associate to join our Energy, Environmental, Mining and Transportation Division in our New York office. The Associate will primarily work with attorneys in the Renewable Energy group, engaging in a wide range of renewable energy work including project development, commercial, financing, and transactional practice areas within a well-established, growing national practice.

Responsibilities

  • Work with attorneys in the Renewable Energy group.
  • Engage in project development, commercial, financing, and transactional practice areas.
  • Represent clients involved in or with the energy industry.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or comparable transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate, and/or project development.
  • Experience in negotiating, drafting, and closing complex commercial agreements.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in New York.
