About the Role
The Commissary Operations Supervisor assists in managing all aspects of commissary operations and services within a correctional facility, including managing a cart delivery system and a small team. This role involves handling inventory, training employees, and adhering to safety standards in a unique work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the management of all aspects of commissary operations and services at the assigned correctional facility.
- Manages a cart delivery within the jail/correctional facility.
- Manages a small team.
- Performs inventory management including cycle counting.
- Trains employees.
- Adheres to safety standards.
- Handles commissary orders for inmates.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year recent management experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- High school diploma or Equivalent, and at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with inventory management.
- Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs).
- Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to work in a correctional environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills.
