About the Role
Provide care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting, managing both acute and chronic needs. Communicate effectively with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the provider by gathering patient information relevant to their visit and condition.
- Communicate clearly with patients through telephone and in-person interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on patient care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic Medical Assisting skills.
- Provide care in an ambulatory setting.
Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to start date).
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of Medical Assistant Experience or current RN/LPN license.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers.
- Ability to protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).
