About the Role

Provide care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting, managing both acute and chronic needs. Communicate effectively with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the provider by gathering patient information relevant to their visit and condition.
  • Communicate clearly with patients through telephone and in-person interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on patient care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic Medical Assisting skills.
  • Provide care in an ambulatory setting.

Requirements

  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of Medical Assistant Experience or current RN/LPN license.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers.
  • Ability to protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).
