About the Role
The Manager, Communications plays an advisory role in developing and implementing corporate communications best practices, enhancing the organization's reputation, and managing initiatives that impact public perception of MS Canada. You will inform constituents through compelling external communications and manage media relations. You will also collaborate with internal teams to shape and deliver messaging to help them meet their communication and public relations goals.

- Inform constituents through compelling external communications.
- Manage the media relations activities for the organization.
- Collaborate with members of the organization to shape and deliver messaging.
- Help teams meet their communication and public relations goals.
- Contribute to team objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing communications, public relations, and/or media relations plans that support brand identity and image.
- Proven experience in managing media relations, including facilitating inquiries, outreach, and logistics planning.
- Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to navigate challenges with tact and diplomacy.
- Highly collaborative and able to build trusting professional relationships with colleagues, external partners, and community members.
- Experience leading a team by providing direction, coaching, and feedback through direct people management and/or project leadership.
- Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings.
- Potential for occasional travel across Canada.
- Must pass a background check.
