About the Role
This unique clinical role combines community-based psychotherapy with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), providing opportunities to deliver evidence-based care that helps clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and improve emotion regulation. Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy services to clients within the Intensive Adult Mental Health Program and other WCMHS programs as appropriate.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions based on client and program needs.
- Provide family therapy services to and couples therapy when clinically indicated.
- Deliver community support services when appropriate as part of the treatment plan.
- Provide psychotherapy services in office, home, and community-based settings to best meet client needs.
- Maintain a clinical caseload that includes approximately 50% Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) clients.
- Deliver individual DBT services using evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Participate in the DBT consultation team and co-facilitate and support DBT skills groups.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health/behavioral health discipline required.
- Licensure or license eligible as a Mental Health Professional (Licensure supervision is available as a part of this position).
- Minimum of two years' experience providing clinical services to clients dealing with severe and persistent mental health issues preferred.
- Experience or training in DBT preferred, and knowledge and experience with other evidence-based practices would be a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, possess an excellent driving record, and have access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.
