About the Role
A Child’s Place at Unity House is seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist to help young children thrive. This role involves evaluating and treating children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, designing therapy activities, and collaborating with a team to create a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat children from 6 weeks to 5 years old
- Design engaging, theme-based therapy activities to support child development
- Provide services on-site and off-site in settings including daycares, preschools, homes, and special education programs
- Work collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and administrators to ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
- Manage caseloads efficiently and submit reports/documentation in a timely manner
- Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging for all children and families
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Pediatric internship experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid NYS driver’s license
