About the Role

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Licensed Security Officer. Responsibilities

• Performs all security and safety rounds as assigned.
• Ensures that offices and suites are secured.
• Responds to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Reports all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or the designee on duty.
• Identifies hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants and initiates appropriate corrective measures or alerts supervisor.
• Completes written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
• Prepares property reports for patient valuables and secures said valuables in the department safe.
• Uses the department's digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
• Picks up hours as the need arises, at acute care facilities, other than primary work location.

Requirements

• NYS Security License
• Current Training Certificate
• Valid NYS Driver's License
• Basic computer skills
• Good oral, interpersonal skills and written communications
• One year minimum Security or Law enforcement experience
