About the Role
We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Licensed Security Officer. Responsibilities
- Performs all security and safety rounds as assigned.
- Ensures that offices and suites are secured.
- Responds to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Reports all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or the designee on duty.
- Identifies hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants and initiates appropriate corrective measures or alerts supervisor.
- Completes written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
- Prepares property reports for patient valuables and secures said valuables in the department safe.
- Uses the department's digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
- Picks up hours as the need arises, at acute care facilities, other than primary work location.
Requirements
- NYS Security License
- Current Training Certificate
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Basic computer skills
- Good oral, interpersonal skills and written communications
- One year minimum Security or Law enforcement experience
