About the Role
St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist II for a full-time weekend track position in Medical Imaging. This role is crucial for providing high-quality CT procedures in accordance with department standards, while upholding the Mercycare Mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
- Evaluates requests for appropriateness, refers concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
- Instructs patients regarding the nature of the exam being performed.
- Effectively communicates information regarding post-procedures.
- Ensures proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers, and self.
- Understands the ALARA program and actively participates in the dosimetry program.
- Completes all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
- Demonstrates proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary for safe, accurate, and complete exams.
- Assists in the instruction of new personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist.
- Experience on Siemens equipment preferred.
