About the Role

Performs housekeeping project work, including floor and carpet care, within designated areas. This role involves working independently or in a team to execute various project functions and maintenance tasks, adhering to departmental procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping "Project" work including Floorcare and Carpet care functions.
• Works alone and/or in a group to provide "Project" functions and "Housekeeping" maintenance tasks.
• Knows and practices all general procedures utilized in the department.
• Understands and practices standard precautions, blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous communications guidelines.
• Makes decisions to act on responsibilities without being instructed.
• Trains other department employees on proper "Project" techniques and operating standards.
• Keeps work areas and equipment neat and clean.
• Maintains good personal hygiene and grooming habits.
• Dresses to meet the dress code for the Environmental Service Department.
• Practices good public relations and follows all safety regulations.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
