About the Role
This position provides clinical services to clients in the substance use treatment program. The Clinician I functions as an unlicensed clinical provider who works under direct supervision collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provides diagnostic assessment and treatment to clients.

- Assist individuals, families and groups giving direct care and establishing goals to ensure successful transition
- Collaborate with outside entities to determine individualized care for each client
- Enhance own abilities participating in trainings and those of others as the trainer teaching basic skills to individuals and groups
- Oversee basic direct care skill development services in community settings by care workers or BI’s
- Provide basic case management services to coordinate client access to care
- Develop and implement treatment plans with direct supervision
- Write timely clinical documentation with advance clinical competency
- Ensure client accesses and attends medical, social, educational, vocational, housing, financial and other services
- Manage basic problems and crisis situations that do not require multi-system responses
- Provide basic information and data to report on general program outcomes
- Follow all program policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, criminal justice or related field required
- Experience providing direct supports and therapeutic services clients with substance use disorders and mental health concerns
- Experience with trauma informed care systems and trauma informed language
- Experience developing clinical recommendations that take all client preferences into account
