About the Role

This position provides clinical services to clients in the substance use treatment program. The Clinician I functions as an unlicensed clinical provider who works under direct supervision collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provides diagnostic assessment and treatment to clients.

  • Collaborate with outside entities to determine individualized care for each client
  • Enhance own abilities participating in trainings and those of others as the trainer teaching basic skills to individuals and groups
  • Oversee basic direct care skill development services in community settings by care workers or BI’s
  • Provide basic case management services to coordinate client access to care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with direct supervision
  • Write timely clinical documentation with advance clinical competency
  • Ensure client accesses and attends medical, social, educational, vocational, housing, financial and other services
  • Manage basic problems and crisis situations that do not require multi-system responses
  • Provide basic information and data to report on general program outcomes
  • Follow all program policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, criminal justice or related field required
  • Experience providing direct supports and therapeutic services clients with substance use disorders and mental health concerns
  • Experience with trauma informed care systems and trauma informed language
  • Experience developing clinical recommendations that take all client preferences into account
