About the Role
The primary focus of the Market Manager role is to drive revenue, increase profit, and manage risk within assigned branches. This role involves maintaining superior client service, developing cohesive teams, providing consistent leadership, and assuming accountability for branch results. A significant emphasis is placed on the recruitment and retention of Financial Advisors. Market Managers are responsible for fiscal management, personnel management, business ethics, and compliance with all laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue, profit, and risk management within assigned branches.
- Maintain a superior and consistent level of client service.
- Develop cohesive teams and provide consistent leadership.
- Assume accountability for branch results.
- Focus on the recruitment and retention of Financial Advisors.
- Manage fiscal operations, personnel, morale, and business ethics.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Firm’s products and strategic partners' offerings.
- Direct the sales force to appropriate resources efficiently.
- Apply product/business knowledge to recruiting efforts, translating competitor offerings and explaining how recruits can meet client needs.
- Seek opportunities to grow business and drive sales by capitalizing on firm initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with corporate departments and strategic partners for marketing efforts.
- Drive corporate marketing initiatives to increase market share in High Net Worth households.
- Build effective teams through timely communication and regular meetings.
- Participate in Region and Market initiatives, including sales, hiring, recruitment, diversity, and community outreach.
- Grow branches through hiring, lateral recruiting, and training.
- Lead by example to ensure branches consistently achieve objectives, maintain positive morale, and demonstrate ethical business practices.
- Proactively identify trends, growth areas, and weaknesses to position the Region effectively.
- Lead branches in sales and results.
- Identify, position, and develop key talent within branches.
- Encourage talent to participate in Branch and Region leadership.
- Leverage Firm resources to achieve success.
- Act as a coach and mentor for Financial Advisors.
- Be accountable for branch sales and financial performance.
- Proactively recruit and develop lateral and trainee Financial Advisors.
- Manage regulatory, legal, and compliance issues, including risk management for sales, human resources, and legal/regulatory practices.
- Oversee and supervise compliance issues for other assigned branches by identifying and escalating risk issues.
- Establish a core compliance model in supervised offices.
- Follow supervisory procedures as outlined in the Branch Manager’s supervisory Manual.
- Execute the Annual Supervisory Plan.
- Effectively communicate performance status and issues to the Market Executive.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of related experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated success managing a substantial branch office or equivalent.
- Active Series 7, 8 (or 9 and 10), 66 (or 63 and 65) and 3 registrations (Series 31 acceptable if branch conducts managed futures business only).
- Other licenses as required for role or by management.

Salary/Compensations
- $190,000 - $200,000 per year
