About the Role

The Accounts Payable Associate - Float will perform duties involved in the accounts payable functions, reporting directly to the Shared Services Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, results-driven, and possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills to work independently and accomplish departmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Input and process invoices accurately for multiple companies with multiple currencies, ensuring proper sorting, coding, matching, documentation, and approval for payment.
  • Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders or receiving documents.
  • Process checks, wires, and ACHs according to company payment policies and vendor terms.
  • Perform vendor set-up and maintenance.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments.
  • Run AP subledgers to confirm balance and elimination.
  • Review freight reports for accuracy and correct invoices for freight charges.
  • Notify vendors of EFT payments via email.
  • Facilitate vendor credit applications.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliation.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations, external audits, and other data gathering needs.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a two-year degree in accounting or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or accounting role.
  • Experience using MS Office products including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using MS Dynamics AX is a plus.
