About the Role

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Casual Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to support individuals in residential care communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing treatment plans for residents.
  • Perform treatments as prescribed by the physiotherapist, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and modality application.
  • Deliver exercise classes for groups of residents.
  • Prepare and clean equipment and treatment areas.
  • Ensure gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
  • Communicate regularly with the physiotherapist regarding resident status or treatment concerns.
  • Record daily treatments using the company's web-based system.

Requirements

  • PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology, or a similar healthcare background.
  • Previous experience within an LTC setting is an asset.
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check (within 6 months).
  • Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance.
