About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Inspection Technician to perform regular inspections on critical safety and operational equipment across our facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of fire suppression pumps and perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections
- Provide H&S expertise and support to site management and supervisors for the management of H&S
- Coordinate and oversee annual fire extinguisher inspections with certified vendors
- Perform anchor point and fall protection equipment inspections
- Conduct handrail, ladders, stairway, and walkway safety inspections
- Inspect hoists, lifts, slings, and rigging equipment for wear, damage and compliance
- Perform inspections and maintenance checks on man lifts, skid steers, and forklifts
- Complete and maintain logbook entries for all equipment and inspections
- Inspect AED units and ensure that they are fully operational and perform regular checks on emergency eyewash stations
- Report defect and safety concerns promptly
- Maintain and accurately record inspection logs and ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience
- Prior experience in equipment of safety inspections, maintenance or related field.
- 1 - 3 years required experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- SAP experience preferred.
- 0-10% travel requirements
- Knowledge of MSHA standards and safety regulations is a plus
- Comfortable working at heights and in an industrial environment
- Ability to identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
- Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb ladders throughout the workday.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
