About the Role

The Data Analyst provides data analytics support for projects related to investigations and litigation cases, from initiation to closure. This role involves developing deliverables and serving as a point-of-contact for attorneys, investigators, and case teams. Data Analysts integrate diverse data types and formats, develop and maintain project lifecycles, and assist in client deliverable creation. They may also manage data collection, documentation, vetting, onboarding, and loading data into analytical tools. Guidance and assistance to other team members are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Corresponding with key case personnel to elicit requirements and provide regular status updates
  • Performing data analysis and modeling to understand and identify data relationships/trends/classifications/predictions
  • Proposing reporting solutions that best present the information to the end user
  • Delivering the completed solution
  • Integrate a wide variety of data types and formats from primary and secondary sources
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce streamlined and efficient processes for project lifecycles
  • Assist senior staff in the creation and finalization of client deliverables
  • Manage the collection, documentation, vetting and onboarding of data
  • Database development and set up
  • Loading of data into the appropriate analytical tools
  • Guide and assist other team members as required

Requirements

  • Significant experience in one or more of the following tools is required: Tableau Software, IBM i2 Analyst Notebook, ESRI ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with the following types of Database: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Programming and/or scripting (Python, R, Java)
  • Background in Law Enforcement, Data Science, Investigations, Data Analysis, Computer Information Systems, or Statistics
  • Industry analytics/business intelligence knowledge including current industry trends, challenges, and data quality approaches
  • Deep understanding of database, ETL, and analytics tools and concepts
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize work effectively
  • Must be able to function as an effective team member in a local and virtual team development environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an unsurpassed attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience supporting federal agencies
