About the Role
Join our dynamic facilities team where you'll play a critical role in maintaining optimal building operations across multiple properties. This hands-on position focuses on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all facility systems with an emphasis on maximizing "wrench time" and direct technical work. You'll be responsible for ensuring seamless building operations while delivering exceptional service to our clients and tenants. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse building systems, develop advanced technical skills, and contribute directly to JLL's reputation for operational excellence in facilities management.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment including carpentry and mechanical systems with minimal operational disruption
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules on all base building and critical system equipment, completing thorough documentation and reporting any equipment issues or supply shortages
- Conduct carpentry, sheet metal, and sheetrock work including patching, painting, and general building repairs for interior and exterior surfaces
- Analyze system operations, diagnose malfunctions, and implement corrective actions while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and building codes
- Coordinate with client representatives and work order requestors to schedule repairs within operational windows and minimize tenant impact
- Respond to emergency calls and perform overtime work as needed while maintaining coverage across multiple building locations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 3 years in carpentry, sheet metal work, and general building maintenance techniques
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, work at heights, operate power tools, and perform overhead work
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills (spread sheets, reports)
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customer service orientation
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
