About the Role
Acrisure Underwriting is seeking a creative actuary to join their team in building a modern tech platform. This role involves developing products, shaping pricing strategies, building and refining models, informing product design, and communicating data-driven insights to partners.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain actuarial pricing models; prepare and present indication reports.
- Refine and optimize pricing methodologies to improve profitability and competitiveness.
- Leverage Python, SQL, and advanced Excel to streamline processes, automate tasks, and extract actionable insights.
- Work with large, complex datasets to identify trends, emerging exposures, and business opportunities.
- Engage underwriters, claims professionals, program teams, and reinsurance brokers to translate technical analyses into clear business recommendations.
- Create compelling dashboards and presentations that communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external reinsurers.
- Proactively identify and implement efficiency gains across the actuarial workflow.
Requirements
- FCAS/ACAS credential with ~5-10 years of P&C pricing experience.
- Solid track record in actuarial pricing, indications, and data analysis.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL for both modeling and automation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communicator skilled at distilling complex analyses into clear business insights.
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Technology-driven mindset with a passion for modernizing actuarial workflows.
