About the Role

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated individual to stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food, ensuring all items are clearly labeled and fully stocked. This role is crucial for maintaining a neat, clean, and organized club environment, contributing to the overall member experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates, and stores general merchandise and/or food.
• Ensures all merchandise is clearly labeled and fully stocked.
• Maintains the neat and clean environment of the club by removing all trash and debris.
• Carries out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Supports the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
• Acts with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind.
• Ensures a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Works collaboratively and with respect to achieve goals.
• Maintains a friendly and positive attitude.
• Delivers service excellence through all points of contact.
• Resolves and deescalates member concerns.

• Ensures the club is fast, friendly, full, fresh, and clean.
• Works as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily.
• Works with commitment and pride to deliver a Grand Opening look daily.
• Ensures all items are stocked and promotional plans are executed.
• Maintains visible and accurate signage.
• Keeps the club clean and organized, inside and out.
• Understands how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
• Maintains display signage for all products.
• Creates labels and/or applies merchandise sales tags to items.
• Ensures all product labels and price tags are clear and visible.
• Handles damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Performs general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the club.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance.

Requirements

• Previous grocery/stock experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is recognized and valued.
