About the Role
The Security Operations Center Specialist is responsible for the daily operation of all physical security efforts, monitoring and responding appropriately to security systems and technology, and communicating effectively with internal customers and colleagues. This position will work closely with Brink’s Operations and Branch leaders to proactively address security gaps/issues related to interdepartmental logistics.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond appropriately to a variety of alarm signals, ensuring timely and accurate responses according to procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers, adhering to all departmental and company policies.
- Complete required equipment checks, daily logs, and regular system audits.
- Answer multiple telephone lines professionally, gathering information, troubleshooting, transferring calls, or providing instructions, and conduct follow-up calls.
- Provide technical support as needed, following procedures for service and inspection requests.
- Analyze inquiries and determine the correct course of action.
- Maintain facility security and operations by following company policies to provide a safe and productive environment.
- Assist other departments and associates with special projects to support teamwork.
- Participate in job-related training programs and meetings to continually update knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security setting.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 software.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Possession of a valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with a wide range of hours, including weekends and holidays.
