About the Role

Our iOS mobile team is part of the Adobe Video organization, building video creation and editing experiences. We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead iOS development, focusing on defining both product and engineering practices, including modern engineering and AI-assisted development. We seek a manager who empowers their team to ship great iOS experiences while encouraging the use of AI tools for speed and quality.

Responsibilities

Lead, grow, and support a team of senior iOS engineers in building creative, user-facing features from design through production.
Set technical and quality standards for the iOS organization, ensuring architectural coherence, maintainability, and performance.
Coach engineers on the effective use of AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development responsibly while maintaining rigorous standards.
Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to shape product strategy, bringing a clear technical and UX perspective.
Guide the team in making thoughtful scope and priority decisions, balancing user impact, velocity, and long-term technical health.
Create a safe-to-experiment culture by validating assumptions early, learning from user feedback, and treating each release as an improvement opportunity.
Develop talent through regular feedback, mentorship, and career growth conversations.
Represent the iOS team in org-level planning, advocating for investment, technical excellence, and a user-centered approach.

Requirements

5+ years of experience shipping Apple applications, with significant time delivering complex, production-scale iOS products.
Experience managing and growing teams of senior engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.
Technical fluency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and the iOS SDK, with the ability to review, guide, and influence architectural decisions.
Product instincts and UX sensibility, including familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines and a keen eye for interaction quality.
Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and helping teams move from unclear problem statements to crisp execution plans.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools at a team level, including setting expectations, workflows, and guardrails for AI-generated output.
Clear, compelling communication skills to translate between technical, product, and design perspectives.
Understanding of mobile video editing workflows or the curiosity and drive to develop this understanding quickly.
