About the Role

Cohen & Co is seeking an experienced Events Planning Professional to lead the firm’s event management strategy and execution in support of relationship-building and business development objectives. This role involves managing a variety of events, from webinars to in-person conferences, and requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, promote, produce, and analyze the effectiveness of market-facing events, including branded programs, webinars, CPE and thought leadership programs, sponsorships, client entertainment, and events tied to strategic initiatives.
  • Provide advanced event planning expertise from concept to goal setting, collaborating with internal committees and leadership.
  • Organize agenda setting, speaker sourcing, budget management, venue sourcing, contract negotiation, and logistics management for flawless event execution.
  • Serve as the event planning lead for the firm’s signature annual Investment Industry CPE event, a multi-day event for 400+ attendees.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze event operations and suggest improvements, including expertise on technology utilization and automation.
  • Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps, and feedback to incorporate into future event plans.
  • Collaborate with Industry Marketing Leads and Marketing Team members on event content, social media, email marketing, list management, and ROI/lead tracking.

Requirements

  • 10 years of progressive experience in events and meeting planning.
  • Experience in a Professional Services firm is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience managing complex projects, developing project budgets, and negotiating contracts.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with technology platforms including webinar, CRM, marketing automation, and event marketing tools.
  • Specific experience with Salesforce, Pardot, and Cvent is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • A strong, proactive client service mindset and work ethic.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to support events across the US.
  • Occasional work on evenings and weekends to support events as needed.
