About the Role
We are seeking two part-time Academic Skills Tutors to provide academic skills support for students studying medicine, biomedical sciences, and healthcare programmes through a range of in-person and online interventions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality academic skills support through one-to-one tutorials, small group sessions, workshops, and webinars.
- Assess students' learning needs and develop tailored support strategies.
- Create and maintain learning resources.
- Contribute to the Team's online provision.
- Work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to support student success.
- Promote effective referral pathways.
- Evaluate provision and contribute to service enhancement activities.
Requirements
- Hold a Cambridge DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL qualification.
- Hold a Master's degree.
- Experience of delivering academic skills or English for Academic Purposes (EAP) support within a higher education environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Confident working collaboratively with staff and students.
- Strong digital capabilities.
- Demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of academic skills development and inclusive student support practices.
