About the Role

The Educational Multimedia Production Lead role is based within the Learning Design and Multimedia department, in the directorate of LEaD (Learning Enhancement and Development). This role focuses on management of the MILL (Media and Innovation Learning Lab) and working with staff to support them in creating high-quality multimedia teaching content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain professional media hardware and software.
  • Enable staff to produce high-quality educational multimedia content.
  • Lead on multimedia projects, offering logistical planning and technical expertise.
  • Provide line management to Educational Multimedia producers.
  • Provide training to staff.
  • Collaborate with LEaD colleagues to support departmental projects and priorities.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate experience of delivering complex multimedia production projects.
  • Demonstrate experience of supporting multimedia facilities.
  • Expert user of multimedia creation and editing software.
  • Expertise in working with cameras, lighting, and audio.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders including academic and professional services staff and students.
