About the Role
As the first GTM Engineer at Pogo, you'll partner with Growth, Sales, Design, and Engineering teams to build AI-powered systems that compound revenue. You will work on an enterprise AI SaaS product as both a builder and an operator, shipping code that drives pipeline and conversion.
Responsibilities
- Ship AI-powered workflows that scale growth and sales motions as a competitive advantage.
- Audit the existing GTM stack, identify gaps and redundancies, and ship against them quickly.
- Embed with sales and growth teams to turn their best plays into scalable systems.
- Build internal tools and agents to replace manual workflows, including lead routing, enrichment, outbound personalization, account research, content distribution, and attribution.
- Determine when to use off-the-shelf tools versus building custom solutions.
- Partner closely with engineering and design to test new features, provide feedback, and dogfood AI capabilities for GTM use cases.
- Publish playbooks and internal guides to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Likely 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience, with some applied directly to GTM, growth, or revenue systems.
- Heavy user of AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with experience shipping non-trivial projects using them.
- Experience building with LLMs and AI agents, including RAG, evals, tool use, and prompt engineering.
- Hands-on experience with the modern GTM stack (e.g., Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, Apollo, Cargo, Gong, Outreach/Instantly) and fluency with APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
- Strong product and design taste, ensuring internal tools are polished.
- Ability to think in systems and automate messy operational problems.
- Real commercial instinct to identify leverage in sales calls or growth dashboards.
- Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially in ambiguous situations.
