About the Role
We are seeking an Overnight Yard Jockey to move trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors, ensuring proper loading, sealing, securing, fueling, and temperature control. You will also arrange trucks and trailers safely in the yard, inspect equipment, and maintain a clean yard, all while adhering to safety, DOT, and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Move trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors according to assignments
- Ensure trailers are properly loaded, sealed, secured, fueled, and temperature-controlled
- Arrange trucks and trailers in the yard safely and efficiently
- Inspect equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free yard
- Follow all safety, DOT, and food safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL issued by state of residence and DOT qualified
- Ability to work overnight shifts, 10+ hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable entering/exiting trucks frequently and lifting up to 100 lbs using safe practices
- Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Strong attention to safety, organization, and teamwork
- Clean driving record in accordance with DOT and company standards
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
