About the Role

The CSR is a multi-function position representing Citizen Advocates' first contact with clients. This role is crucial for maintaining clinic operations with a focus on front window check-in/out and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all intake activities for clients presenting at the window, verifying and updating information.
  • Refer clients to insurance CSR as appropriate.
  • Enter all data into Netsmart immediately and accurately.
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances according to agency policies and log amounts.
  • Open new screenings in Netsmart for all new clients.
  • Indicate client arrival on HER.
  • Maintain continuous observation of the waiting room for safety and environment.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments according to clinician recommendations.
  • Refill new client paperwork packets.
  • Process clinician work order requests.
  • Adhere to all federal and state confidentiality laws (HIPAA and CFR42).
  • Maintain clean equipment and an uncluttered, safe, functional, and effective work area.
  • Triage all incoming calls immediately, evaluate for crisis or standard calls, and transfer appropriately.
  • Assist with schedule review to backfill and work the therapist need sooner list.
  • Complete all required training on the Relias website.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all CABHS staff.
  • Transfer phones at the end of the shift to the answering service, providing accurate information.
  • Prepare daily deposit.
  • Scan and attach documents into Netsmart.
  • Assist in all other customer support duties as needed or directed by a supervisor.
  • Respond to messages with the answering service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work with mental health or substance use populations preferred.
