Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing client relationships
- Deliver holistic financial planning
- Provide tailored investment guidance aligned to Schwab’s approach to investing
- Collaborate closely with an experienced advisory team to support clients through complex financial decisions
- Help clients stay focused on long-term goals
- Set an operating cadence for a book of business
- Prioritize high-impact activities
- Coordinate across partners
- Proactively communicate tradeoffs, timelines, and next steps
- Ensure service consistency and follow-through on complex, multi-workstream client needs
- Develop and communicate holistic financial plans for high-complexity scenarios
- Synthesize inputs into recommendations that align portfolios to client objectives, risk profile, and long-term outcomes
- Seek input from peers and leaders
- Integrate feedback into measurable behavior changes
- Share best practices
- Coach others informally to raise advisory quality and client experience
- Exercise sound judgment and risk awareness
- Recognize when situations exceed scope or require additional expertise
- Surface concerns early
- Escalate with clear context and options to protect the client experience and meet fiduciary and regulatory expectations
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex client relationships by diagnosing needs through advanced discovery
- Navigate sensitive conversations with diplomacy
- Influence decisions by translating sophisticated planning and investment concepts into clear, tailored guidance that drives action and deepens trust
- CFP® designation or CFA® designation
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active FINRA Series 7 license
- Active FINRA Series 66 license (or equivalent)
