About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Full Time Assistant Deli Manager for its San Francisco - Tower location. The ideal candidate will be customer service-focused and adaptable to daily task variations.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Deli Manager with all departmental functions.
- Assist in interviewing, training, and development.
- Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
- Follow department procedures for supply management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of product availability, preparation, storage, and nutritional aspects.
- Ensure Chef/Cook adherence to current and accurate recipes.
- Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margin and labor targets.
- Oversee product sampling for customers.
- Supervise and maintain the special order system.
- Comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Operate and sanitize all equipment safely and properly.
- Provide excellent and consistent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in kitchen, culinary, deli, restaurant, kitchen management, cooking, or customer service.
- Strong communication and motivational skills; ability to collaborate effectively and convey enthusiasm.
- Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
- Ability to train and inspire a diverse team to achieve departmental excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and appreciation for natural foods.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to reach for up to 4 hours per day.
