About the Role

Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Full Time Assistant Deli Manager for its San Francisco - Tower location. The ideal candidate will be customer service-focused and adaptable to daily task variations.

Responsibilities

Assist and support the Deli Manager with all departmental functions.
Assist in interviewing, training, and development.
Establish and maintain a positive work environment.
Follow department procedures for supply management.
Demonstrate knowledge of product availability, preparation, storage, and nutritional aspects.
Ensure Chef/Cook adherence to current and accurate recipes.
Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margin and labor targets.
Oversee product sampling for customers.
Supervise and maintain the special order system.
Comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all equipment safely and properly.
Provide excellent and consistent customer service.

Requirements

Previous experience in kitchen, culinary, deli, restaurant, kitchen management, cooking, or customer service.
Strong communication and motivational skills; ability to collaborate effectively and convey enthusiasm.
Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
Ability to train and inspire a diverse team to achieve departmental excellence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of and appreciation for natural foods.
Availability for flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Local candidates only.
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to walk for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to reach for up to 4 hours per day.
