About the Role
Support people with disability to have the choice, control, and independence to live their best life. If you’re passionate about inclusivity, respect, and making a meaningful difference, this is the career move for you. Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and accessing the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety, dignity, and person-centred support
- Assistance with daily living (including personal care)
- Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
- Documenting and progress note keeping
Requirements
- Must be able to commit to a variety of client session times (starting from 2 hours in length) between 6am and 8pm within Dee Why and surrounds.
- Willingness to travel between clients homes to support multiple clients each day is essential.
- Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Skills
- Previous experience supporting people with disability in a home care and community setting
- Confidence and experience in manual handling, hoist transfers and providing personal care
- Previous experience providing HIDPA supports
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
