About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Specialist to join our team supporting the IT Business Units of IT Services, Infrastructure, and Security. This dynamic role requires a balance of technical numerical proficiency, strong relationship-building skills, and a good knowledge of project and operational portfolio financial management. You will be responsible for producing monthly reports and presentations for IT executive management.
Responsibilities
- Be a business partner by providing specific recommendations to meet financial objectives and detailed explanations of budget variances.
- Consolidate the monthly IT executive management presentation.
- Participate in IT forecasting and budgeting exercises to ensure a clear understanding of the current and forecasted budget position of IT projects and portfolios.
- Run the resource forecast process, comparing budget and forecast resource demand against available staffing and contract resources.
- Provide insight through monthly resource forecasting reporting on resource budget and resourcing needed to complete IT projects.
- Provide key actionable insights to senior IT management by creating and maintaining dashboards that explain deviations (actuals vs budget vs forecast).
- Continuously improve reporting by refining metrics and visualizations.
- Simplify report creation by automating and streamlining processes.
- Validate and control key budget inputs and resulting reports.
- Follow up with project stakeholders to gain insight into project financial status.
- Partner with key IT project stakeholders to become a trusted business partner.
- Be a key team member in evolving Intact’s Total Cost of Ownership strategy and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- CPA designation or MBA is considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in financial management or financial reporting is required.
- Experience building and presenting presentations to a wide audience is required.
- Advanced Excel (Macros/Pivots/Functions), Power Point, and Word skills are required.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Hyperion (Essbase).
- Proven ability to think outside the box.
- Attention to detail and quality is essential.
- Comfortable learning other various IT tools.
- Passionate about people; build trust through respect and authenticity.
- Customer-oriented focus and ability to deal effectively with multiple demands.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.

- 94,200 - 115,200
- Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance): 12%
