About the Role
This position will perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, including mechanical troubleshooting related to electrical problems.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical installation work, both construction and remodeling in accordance with electrical codes.
- Provide a written record of work and materials used by job completion.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment throughout plant.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance, change out, and set up of equipment.
- Complete electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Repair or replace components.
- Modify existing equipment that is no longer efficient or compatible with current production needs.
- Keep all work areas clean.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability and willingness to work on demand in emergency situations.
- Able to complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently.
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Ability and willingness to lift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours.
- Ability and willingness to climb stairs.
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10 degrees.

Experience Level
- Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
