About the Role
This position is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the plant. Benefits are effective Day 1.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
- Install and maintain utility equipment including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
- Change out and setup equipment.
- Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment.
- Perform basic math functions.
- Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Work on demand in emergency situations.
- Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
- Keep all work areas clean.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
- Push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Lift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds.
- Use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
- Reach high and low levels, frequently.
- Stand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours.
- Climb stairs.
- Work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10 degrees.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
- Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
