About the Role

Tyson Foods is seeking individuals to raise expectations for how much good food can do, creating quality products in a safe environment for team members. Benefits are effective Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming loads and write a receiving slip.
• Place all supplies in proper storage areas.
• Unload new equipment and move equipment through the plant.
• Take supplies to production areas.
• Print labels.
• Complete general cleanup in warehouse areas.
• Take and keep track of inventory.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
• Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to obtain a class II tow motor certification.
• Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
• Ability to lift/lower/carry 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
• Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
• Ability to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
• 3 months of work history with the same employer.
• Not accepting rehires.

Skills

• Machine Operator experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• RF Scanner experience preferred
