About the Role
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver gigawatts of compute faster than anyone else. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our liquid-cooled systems by owning water chemistry and engineering water systems.
Responsibilities
- Own water chemistry across the fleet's cooling systems, including treatment programs, specifications, and monitoring for liquid-cooled gigawatts.
- Engineer the water systems, including makeup, treatment, filtration, and blowdown, as designed into the reference design.
- Set the coolant standards for direct liquid cooling, covering chemistry, materials compatibility, and lifetime.
- Run vendor programs, holding treatment suppliers accountable for results rather than just service visits.
Requirements
- Engineered industrial water treatment or cooling water chemistry.
- Diagnosed and cured corrosion, scaling, or biological problems.
- Specified treatment systems and held vendors to performance standards.
- Understand materials compatibility across metals, plastics, and coolants.
- Designed monitoring systems that catch drift before damage occurs.
