About the Role
The RN Supervisor provides nursing oversight and case management to a designated caseload, ensuring all medical/nursing needs are met. This role involves clinical direction and training to LPN staff and participation in an on-call schedule for 24/7 support.
Responsibilities
- Manage all healthcare needs for a caseload of individuals in a particular residence or group of residences.
- Complete quarterlies and annuals, track and complete labs and appointments, conduct quarterly nursing reviews, and communicate with medical providers.
- Perform MD rounds with the Medical Director, ensuring timely implementation of all medical orders and appropriate documentation.
- Provide clinical oversight to LPN staff, including training, guidelines for delegated nursing functions, and observation of medication passes.
- Provide clinical supervision to AMAP staff, including certification/re-certification and periodic inspection of delegated nursing functions.
- Ensure adherence to all ICF regulations and participate in ongoing surveys by OPWDD.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Registered Professional Nursing License required
- CPR certified and must maintain
- College degree in nursing preferred
- Experience supporting people with I/DD preferred
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
