About the Role

This newly created Mid-Level Software Engineer role will support the future growth of the Wealth and Advice Solutions (WAS) business. You will enable WAS Tech to achieve consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery by implementing engineering best practices, contributing to automation frameworks, and mentoring junior team members. As a hands-on technical contributor, you will own feature development from design through deployment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that drive business value.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of Angular (versions 12+)
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
  • Experience with RxJS and reactive programming patterns
  • Understanding of state management (NgRx preferred)
  • Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of Java/.NET development
  • Comprehensive testing experience (unit, integration, e2e)
  • Git version control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Code review and quality assurance practices
  • Technical documentation and communication skills
  • SQL database experience (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle)
  • Cloud platform deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Financial Services or Wealth Management industry experience
  • Test-driven development (TDD) practices
  • Spring Boot microservices development experience
  • RESTful API design and implementation
  • JPA/Hibernate for database operations
  • Maven or Gradle build management
  • Microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Performance monitoring and application troubleshooting
  • Feature flag management and A/B testing frameworks
