About the Role

Join Genedata, a Danaher operating company, and contribute to the digitalization revolution in the biopharmaceutical industry. You will leverage enterprise software to help leading companies automate processes and analyze R&D data, accelerating the discovery of breakthrough therapies. As a Data Science Consultant - Precision Medicine, you will be a key member of the Genedata Profiler team in Tokyo, empowering partners across the drug R&D value chain to achieve their precision medicine vision by utilizing clinical, phenotype, molecular, and imaging data.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in Genedata Profiler Implementation projects, providing consulting, business process analysis, and solution design as a scientific expert.
Scope and execute customer Data Science projects, delivering results and presentations that meet high client standards.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as the primary contact for scientific and technical matters.
Collaborate with Sales to identify new opportunities and contribute to business growth.
Share insights from customer interactions with internal teams, including Sales, SW-development, and Product Management.

Requirements

PhD or MS in bioinformatics, data sciences, health sciences, or a related discipline, with strong foundations in both computational and life sciences.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and simplifying complex scientific concepts in both Japanese and English.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R.
Extensive experience analyzing multi-omics, biomarker, imaging, and clinical data, ideally within biopharma research.
Strong project management abilities with a track record of delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams, both internally and externally.
Native Japanese OR N-1 Japanese and business English proficiency.
Occasional travel to Genedata Headquarters in Europe.
Occasional travel to the United States.
Regular travel to customer sites within Japan.
