About the Role
The Vice President, ETF Trader will execute complex trade orders, manage associated risks, and develop analytical tools to optimize ETF positions and exposures. This role involves accessing ETF liquidity through the creation/redemption process, managing a book of business, and providing strategic market advice to clients and sales staff.
Responsibilities
- Executes highly complex and large trade orders in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manages risk associated with trades and identifies problems and provides solutions within established trading strategies and procedures.
- Develop/utilize analytical and AI-enabled trading tools to better understand ETF positions, risk exposures.
- Access ETF liquidity through creation/redemption process with an understanding on NAV strike, FX Benchmarks, and anticipation of settlement difficulties.
- Manages a book of business, which includes managing risk, capital requirements, profit and loss, volatility, limits and bids/ask spreads.
- Maintains broad expertise in ETF offerings and works with clients to determine appropriate strategies to utilize in trading.
- Provides strategic and tactical market advice to sales staff and clients.
- Provides reports on pricing and trading strategies based on research and data.
- Liaises with internal compliance, credit and risk functions on execution and trading related matters and functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 4+ years of total work experience preferred.
- Quantitative skillset and experience with some combination of object-oriented programming and SQL is a plus.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Intellectually curious, self-starter mindset - capable of grasping complex concepts and workflows and a desire to continually improve.
