About the Role

Systems engineering is a cross-functional discipline focused on both business and technical needs to deliver quality products. It involves a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, from concept to production and operation. This role significantly impacts functional areas and ways of working, influencing quality, efficiency, and effectiveness with a high degree of autonomy and operational judgment.

Responsibilities

Execute design/turbine operation changes to eliminate causes of turbine forced outages in warranty and core fleets.
Identify and develop programs to reduce the time to return units to service.
Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current and new products, and commercial deals.
Lead technical program teams on system trade-offs and optimizations to reduce Services costs by eliminating forced outages.
Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis and presentation of technical material.
Lead Services investments from pre-conceptual design through validation and launch, managing risks related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Contribute to the development of the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services, focusing on improving operations through reliability and cost.
Manage program requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitiveness.
Leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements, and standard work with Systems Leaders.
Support and improve the availability and serviceability of the existing wind turbine fleet.
Contribute to new and existing design practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology.
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system and/or services related projects.

Skills

Ability to break down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making.
System or product-level mindset.
Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience.
Loads, data analysis, and problem-solving experience.
Wind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance or repairs.
Requirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience.
Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Experience Level

Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system and/or services related projects

Education Level

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

Salary/Compensations

$113,200.00 - $188,800.00
Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
