About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Ticketmaster, you will own the end-to-end design of Ticketmaster’s native iOS and Android app, shaping how millions of fans experience live events on mobile. You will partner closely with product and engineering, contribute to the strategic direction of the app, and maintain a high standard for native design craft.
Responsibilities
- Own the native design vision for the app.
- Maintain a high bar for native craft, including HIG and Material Design fluency, native gestures, motion, and platform-specific decisions.
- Anticipate and resolve cross-functional obstacles.
- Utilize information architecture and interaction design skills throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct user, market, usability, and competitive design research.
- Understand user types, scenarios, journeys, and flows, producing relevant documentation.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, and collaboration.
- Define success metrics in partnership with product and engineering, linking design decisions to user and product impact.
- Translate long-term vision and strategic business goals into compelling design solutions.
- Stay informed of best practices in the mobile app landscape.
Requirements
- Thorough grounding in digital product design principles, methodology, and practices.
- Proven hands-on experience in UX design, interface design, mobile app design, and interaction design.
- Ability to provide innovative and compositionally strong design solutions.
- Proficiency in Figma and/or other industry-leading design software.
- Experience working with pattern libraries and design systems.
- Ability to think creatively and present concepts clearly to stakeholders and team members.
- Deep, hands-on native iOS and Android design experience, with informed opinions on HIG vs Material trade-offs, native gestures, motion, and platform-specific edge cases.
- Experience using AI tools in design workflows.
- Understanding of technologies like Swift, CSS, and React is preferred.
- Understanding of grid systems, layout, typography, and graphic design is strongly desired.
- Experience with usability testing and report generation is beneficial.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to challenge product strategy with credibility.
- Ability to manage simultaneous concurrent requests.
- Keen eye for detail in designs and requirements.
- Confidence in understanding complex business, system, and user flows.
- Proactive communication, raising questions and issues as encountered.
- Curious, proactive, and self-directed learner.
- Flexibility in hours to accommodate a globally distributed team.
