About the Role
The University of Rochester is seeking an individual to receive, issue, and store supplies, materials, tools, and equipment in a stockroom or storeroom, and to assist in a larger stockroom.
Responsibilities
- Receives, issues, and stores supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assists in a large stockroom or storeroom.
- Checks stock received against requisition or invoice.
- Accounts for all supplies and stock issued.
- Unpacks stock for storage and stores in a specified manner.
- Uses hand truck, electric fork truck, or cart to deliver or move materials.
- Assists with inventory of stockroom.
- Performs routine clerical record keeping work.
- May perform other duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to understand, read, and write English.
- 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Standard shipping/receiving/storeroom equipment operation (e.g., fork trucks, hand trucks, delivery carts, baler).
- Standard office equipment operation.
- Clerical record keeping.
