About the Role

The University of Rochester is seeking an individual to receive, issue, and store supplies, materials, tools, and equipment in a stockroom or storeroom, and to assist in a larger stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Receives, issues, and stores supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assists in a large stockroom or storeroom.
• Checks stock received against requisition or invoice.
• Accounts for all supplies and stock issued.
• Unpacks stock for storage and stores in a specified manner.
• Uses hand truck, electric fork truck, or cart to deliver or move materials.
• Assists with inventory of stockroom.
• Performs routine clerical record keeping work.
• May perform other duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to understand, read, and write English.
• 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Standard shipping/receiving/storeroom equipment operation (e.g., fork trucks, hand trucks, delivery carts, baler).
• Standard office equipment operation.
• Clerical record keeping.
