About the Role
Smile New York Outreach is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide dental care to underserved children at their school. Our innovative in-school dental program offers a work-life balance with no nights or weekends, perfect for those seeking a diverse working environment or wanting to make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
- Perform Digital X-ray Imaging
- Conduct Patient Records Charting
- Assist with Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization
- Travel daily to and from school sites
Requirements
- Dental Assistant Certification (preferred, but not required)
- CPR certification card
- Working experience as a Dental Assistant
- Working experience with Digital X-rays
- Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces)
- Valid ID
- Willingness to travel to schools within the boroughs
- Works well with children
- Team player and able to work on a small team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
