About the Role
The Material Handler will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
Responsibilities

- Working closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
- Achieving company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
- Working under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.
- Participating in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity.
- Completing and retaining all required training.
- Resolving problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.
- Following defined procedures and practices.
- Participating in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal.
- Fixing abnormal areas immediately.
- Completing forklift daily per procedure.
- Maintaining good attendance per policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Material Handler I)
- Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions (Material Handler I)
- Ability to identify and resolve basic problems (Material Handler I)
- Basic PC knowledge (Material Handler I)
- Effective communication skills (Material Handler I)
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment (Material Handler I)
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy (Material Handler I & II)
- Ability to identify and resolve intermediate problems (Material Handler II)
- Intermediate PC knowledge (Material Handler II)
- Strong communication skills (Material Handler II)
- Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials (Material Handler II & III)
- Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program (Material Handler II & III)
- Ability to learn and use problem solving tools in everyday work (Material Handler III)
- Previous experience coaching and training other employees (Material Handler III)
- Experience leading and forming teams (Material Handler III)
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
- Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
