About the Role
This role involves packaging life-saving medicines on a high-speed computerized assembly line, conducting visual inspections, and ensuring product quality while adhering to strict operating procedures in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Package life-saving medicines on a high-speed computerized assembly line.
- Conduct visual inspection of products and move them on and off the assembly line.
- Strictly follow standard operating procedures and documentation requirements.
- Identify and report problems.
- Become qualified as an inspector.
- Make minor adjustments and assist with equipment changeover and set-up.
- Visually inspect vials and labels.
- Assure that the packaged product meets all specifications.
- Perform visual inspection of labeled vials.
- Comply with all SOP's and cGMP's.
- Continue to train and train other crew members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assure a safe working environment and wear clean room safety equipment/apparel.
- Work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to perform repetitive work.
- Must be able to focus on details for periods of time (e.g., visual inspection, labeling).
- Must be able to use pallet jacks to pull/push pallets of product.
- Must be able to pass Vision 5 visual acuity testing administered by an occupational health administrator, pre-employment and annually thereafter.
- Previous machine operator experience or mechanical aptitude is preferred, particularly HMI experience.
- Must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English.
