About the Role

Join the Next Licensing team for an exciting opportunity to work with a range of Childrenswear brands. This role is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact on the continued success of our Licensed Brands, involving product development, collaboration with factories and the design team, and maintaining essential brand relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate range structure proposals by analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data.
  • Present proposals outlining assortment plans, pricing strategies, and key product features.
  • Prepare and present visually engaging presentations for formal meetings, clearly articulating rationale.
  • Evaluate previous season performance, departmental metrics, and supplier performance to identify opportunities.
  • Propose strategies to address performance gaps and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Cultivate open communication and collaboration with suppliers, establishing trust and transparency.
  • Plan and review capacity, production, and fabric reservations by forecasting demand accurately.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely fabric reservations and production, reviewing progress against targets.
  • Maintain merchandise systems by updating data regularly, confirming supplier contracts, and ensuring correct sizing, forecasts, and inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular audits of merchandise systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Control spend by reviewing budgets regularly, monitoring spending, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze spending patterns and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor in-season performance by tracking sales, inventory levels, and markdowns.
  • Identify trends and patterns to make informed decisions and adjustments to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Requirements

  • Candidates requiring sponsorship must meet Home Office sponsorship requirements.
  • Must be able to transition to and utilize Google Workspace suite (Docs, Drive, Meet).
